Scribes work directly with SNCU volunteer Radio Operators to write messages to be relayed between SNCU operators and MYN Leaders. Those written messages will serve as a documented record of issues that arise during a disaster. During an actual emergency, you would be working to help radio operators to relay accurate and detailed messages using the Scribe Form.
After participating in a Scribe training (see calendar for FRS & Scribe trainings each month), you can come together on the first Tuesday of each month to discuss, refine and practice efficient and effective message handling. A clear and concise message regarding a need or a resource during an emergency, can make a significant difference in timing and applying the appropriate resources.
Currently, Scribe meetings are held on Zoom. Zoom details for February are available by emailing: information.sncu@gmail.com
