SCRIBE Class
SNCU is looking for additional SCRIBE volunteers to join our radio teams.
The SNCU mission is to help the “Meet Your Neighbors” program Leaders to communicate information to other neighborhoods and the Fire Department during an emergency. Scribes work directly with radio operators to record messages to serve as documented record of issues that arise during an emergency.
Training involves the simple task of learning a single page form. This training will last approximately 1 hour. Scribes do not need to know radio operations. If you are interested, please sign up below.

SNCU & NBCC Ehanced Radio Basics Class
THIS CLASS IS FULL. It is not possible to sign up as of 8/10. Additional classes will be held in the future.
An enhanced 2 Hour Class and special event held at the Sebastopol Teen Center Annex
Learn basic radio equipment functions and use via hands-on practice. Discuss radio equipment differences (FRS &GMRS) and which type of radio may serve you best where you live. Expand your abilities to Work Together with others in our area to stay connected and informed when normal communication systems are not available. Additional educational and programming options provided by North Bay Communication Cooperative (NBCC) volunteers. CLASS LOCATION - Sebastopol Teen Center Annex 425 Morris St. This is an in-person class. Registration is required. **A limited number of free GMRS radios are available for pre-registered attendees. (1 per household)
