The Gravenstein Health Action Coalition

The Gravenstein Health Action Coalition (GHAC) prioritized reaching isolated seniors by assisting the MYN (Meet Your Neighbors) Program. MYN Leaders strive to bring all their neighbors together to be better prepared to respond to emergencies. This includes finding out about and understanding the needs of those less able to assist themselves and developing a neighborhood plan that works with those vulnerabilities.

Although GHAC initially asked MYN to focus attention on isolated seniors, the MYN Program efforts to improve overall neighborhood resilience was seen as also supporting health and safety in other ways consistent with GHAC’s mission. The new MYN Program is now part of GHAC and is supporting their efforts to actualize their vision and mission. Please visit the GHAC web site and the MYN page too.
